Do i have to pay extra for BBM on the blackberry if my contract includes free internet?

I have a sim only contract on Tesco Mobile that contains free internet but someone told me that you pay have to pay extra to get the internet and BBM on your blackberry, is this true? Do you pay blackberry for this and how much is it? Do you have to have internet as part of your contract as well?
