Duplicate Desktop or Unknown Contact List Databases in my phone
Recently I have been hearing this issue happening over and over again. It appears to target users who¡¯ve some sort of get in touch with sync setup regardless of whether it be BES, Gmail get in touch with sync over BIS, or some other contact sync app like Google Sync. When it happened to me I found that the basic get in touch with publication reset and reload more than BES worked fine. Another friend of me has the issue using the new BIS get in touch with sync with Gmail and this alternative worked for them.
It turns out that there is a third category of customers who just have totally screwed up contact lists on their BlackBerry. They may have a second get in touch with checklist show up in Address Book->Options generally known as Unknown or perhaps a duplicate Desktop. Should you look at that exact same device from Desktop Manager in the sophisticated backup look at you will see two get in touch with databases: Address Book & Address Book ¨C All. If you try to sync with outlook or get the contacts off the device any other way you¡¯ll find that it will not sync your actual tackle publication since your BlackBerry stupidly puts all the contacts in Tackle Publication ¨C All.
With a little research I found that this is actually a KNOWN concern with RIM. We could do as the below guide.
1. Resending service books or deleting duplicate service books ¨C Failed 2. Reset the calendar and contact checklist and have it reload from the BES ¨C Not an option for those who do not possess a BES 3. Backup the device, Wipe it, and reactivate it on the BES ¨C Did not work right and reloaded the Tackle Publication ¨C All 4. Use a test BlackBerry to delete all data and reload using a nifty method mixed with exporting the contacts to a file and reloading them. It failed miserably and requires a second device.
